Welcome to Business Law online! This letter confirms your
registration for the Spring 2008 semester.
What materials will I need?
Each registered participant will need a copy of Business Law Today: The Essentials 7 th Edition.The textbook is available for you at the Nicolet Bookstore in the Learning Resource Center or online at: http://www.nicoletbookstore.com/ .
How do I access the online course?
Business Law is being delivered using the Blackboard
online platform. You will be able to log into the course beginning on Thursday,
January 17, 2008, to allow you time to become comfortable with the online course
layout and design. However, I will not necessarily be accessing the course until
the first day of the semester, January 22, 2008.

What should I do first?
When you access the course, check for Announcements from the Blackboard Administrator or me and then select the Syllabus button on the left side of your screen. Open and read the Syllabus and Course Schedule provided . I encourage you to print these documents and save them for future reference. They will guide you through the activities and assignments of the semester.
Next, select the Course Documents button on the left side of your screen. Look through all activities in this area to become familiar with the online course environment. I have provided some opportunities for you to practice participating in a Discussion Board, taking a quiz and submitting an assignment. Although these are not graded, I strongly encourage you to complete these activities to identify any questions or problems you may have before class begins.
Once you are ready to begin work on the actual course, Select the folder entitled Chapter 1 – The Historical and Constitutional Foundations and complete the activities in this learning plan.
If you are a first time Blackboard user, you should attend one of the following Blackboard orientation sessions:
