Pharmacology for Allied Health


Welcome to Pharmacology for Allied Health online! This letter confirms your registration for the January 2008 semester.

What materials will I need?

Each registered participant will need the textbook "Administering Medications" the author is Gauwitz ISBN# 0-07-845505. You will also need a pocket Drug Book. I suggest FADavis. Both items are available at the Nicolet Bookstore in the Learning Resource Center or online at http://www.nicoletbookstore.com

How do I access my online course?

Pharmacology for Allied Health is being delivered using the Blackboard online platform. You will be able to log in to the online course beginning January 21st, in order to become comfortable with the course. Candy Dailey will not be available until the first day of the semester.

If you are having problems accessing your course or have questions about navigating within your Blackboard Course(s) you can contact the help desk at 365-4478. Should you need further assistance you may call technical support at 365-4409 or email helpdesk@nicoletcollege.edu - Good Luck!

What should I do first?

When you access the course, always check for announcements from your instructor or the Blackboard Administrator then select the Course Documents button on the left side of your screen. Open and read the Syllabus information provided . You may want to print these documents and save them for future reference.

Click on the Announcement button and spend some time navigating around blackboard to become familiar with the online course environment.

Click on the Discussion Board button. Your first Discussion Board assignment is posted and ready for you to respond.

There will be an orientation to blackboard, which you will be using for your on-line course. These are all the dates, times and rooms for Blackboard training for January 2008 Semester. The times are posted below.

Please plan on attending one of these sessions. This will only benefit you in the course.
