Welcome to Business Finance in a hybrid format! This letter confirms your
registration for the spring 2008 semester.
What materials will I need?
Each registered participant will need "Principles of Managerial Finance, Brief Fourth Edition" textbook by Lawrence J. Gitman. This is available for you at the Nicolet Bookstore in the Learning Resource Center or online at: http://www.nicoletbookstore.com/
Other: You will also need a financial calculator. The recommended calculator is the HP10BII, which is also available to you at the Nicolet Bookstore in the Learning Resource Center .
How do I access the online portion of the course?
Business Finance is being delivered using the Blackboard hybrid format. You will be expected to attend a face to face session once a week and the rest of the class will be offered online. You will be able to login to the online portion of the course beginning on January 20th, 2008, to allow you time to become comfortable with the course design.

What should I do first?
When you access the course, always check for announcements from your instructor or the Blackboard Administrator then select the Syllabus button on the left side of your screen. Open and read the Syllabus information provided . You may want to print these documents and save them for future reference.
Next, select the Course Documents button on the left side of your screen. Look through all activities in this area to become familiar with the online course environment.
