Sarah McKenzie lives and works in Boulder, Colorado. The daughter of a land use planner, McKenzie has always painted architecture. Her work has been exhibited widely and has been featured in Art in America among other publications.
She received her MFA in painting from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and her BA degree with honors in film study from Yale University. A former professor at the Cleveland Institute of Art, McKenzie now works full time in her studio. She is currently represented in New York by Jen Bekman Gallery and in Denver by Rule Gallery.
