A series of free professional development and entrepreneur workshops will be held June through August in Crandon for anyone looking to improve their business skills or start a new business.

The series, sponsored by the Forest County Potawatomi, Nicolet College, and the USDA, will consist of two tracks, Professional Development and Entrepreneur.

The workshops are free of charge and offered in both a Professional Track or an Entrepreneur Track. All classes and mentorship opportunities are open to all adult residents of Forest, Langlade, Oneida, and Vilas counties.

 

Professional Track

 

The Professional Track is a series of workshops being offered to anyone who is looking to enhance their career skills in such areas as time management, managing conflict and stress, writing resumes, job interviewing, and customer service.

Entrepreneur Track

 

The Entrepreneur Track centers on the business planning process such as opportunity recognition, business concept development, feasibility testing, and the Business Plan. These workshops are geared toward anyone thinking about starting a business but unsure where to begin, as well as the existing small business owner who is looking at ways in which to better market, financially manage, and redefine the purpose and vision of their existing business.
