Emergency First Aid

Basic Life Support

This course teaches Healthcare Provider level CPR and AED usage for all age groups. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and airway obstruction. American Heart Association Basic Life Support for this level of certification is required for all health occupations programs. Heartsaver First Aid with CPR/AED (Adult/Child/Infant)

This course teaches the first aid skills needed to assist a person who is suffering a medical emergency or traumatic injury. The basic techniques of adult, child, and infant CPR and how to use an AED are also included. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of four major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest, and foreign-body airway obstruction.
