Art at Nicolet


Nicolet College Art Program encourages students of all fields to explore the world of art. Whether you are new to the studio environment or an experienced artist, classes are available that can develop and enhance your skills. Beginning classes in drawing, design, painting, ceramics, sculpture and computer graphics have no prerequisites. At Nicolet, students can discover new avenues of artistic expression while earning credits transferable to other learning institutions.


Career Opportunities


Nicolet Art Credits are transferable to other learning institutions for bachelors degrees in:

  • Art Education
  • Architectural and Environmental Design - The creation of structures: architect, landscape, interior design, model maker.
  • Art Therapy- The use of therapeutically directed art: hospitals, clinics, prisons, retirement centers.
  • Fine Arts - The use of art for personal direction: painter, potter, sculptor, mixed media.
  • Arts Management - The management of art related activities: museum and gallery director, curator, conservators.
  • Graphic Design - The use of art commercially: illustration, design, animation, fashion, production.


Program Admission Requirements


  • Completion of admission form and acceptance to Nicolet as a student.
  • High school students involved in the youth options program.
  • Tuition free courses for students over 60 years, provided they meet the admission requirements.
  • Open entry for students taking 6 credits or less.
