Effective February 7, 2011

Thank you for your interest in the Radiography Technologist program. Please take some time to review the information which will answer many of your questions and point you in the right direction! This program is provided to you by staff and faculty and Nicolet Area Technical College (NATC) and Lakeshore Technical College (LTC).

The Radiography Technologist program prepares students for employment as radiography technologists in hospital and clinics. Diagnosing certain medical conditions or injuries often requires physicians to go beyond a routine physical examination; they need to see inside the body, so an x-ray of the affected area may be needed. Radiography Technologists (often referred to as Rad. Tec 1), work with patients of all ages by taking these x-rays.

Because this is a shared program, Nicolet Area Technical College (NATC) will provide you with general education and science courses, while Lakeshore Technical College (LTC) will provide you with the core program courses. The courses from LTC will be provided via interactive television. Lab based instruction and clinical will be provided at local clinical facilities.

Nicolet College currently admits 5 students each January into the radiography program. Space is limited due to clinical site availability. The waitlist for the radiography program is maintained by LTC. The sooner a student meets all the pre-requisites for the program, the sooner the student name will be added to the waitlist.
