Circulation Policies

Anyone who attends or works for Nicolet College, or who resides within Nicolet's six county district may use the library and get a library card. Library card holders can make use of all library services and borrow materials from the library. To borrow materials:

If you live in the Rhinelander area, go to the library on the Nicolet College campus.

If you live in the Minocqua area, go to the library at the Lakeland campus and request materials. These requests may take 2 to 3 days.

Materials (other than interlibrary loans) may be returned to either campus.

If you live out of the Rhinelander-Minocqua area, go to your local library and request materials through Interlibrary Loan. These requests may take up to a week or longer.

Library Cards

All borrowers are required to present a valid library card in order to borrow materials from the Richard J. Brown Library. Application forms are available at the Circulation Desk. A driver's license, or some other form of picture ID, and a social security card, or some form of ID with the social security number on it, are required. There are no charges for library cards; however, patrons will be charged a $5.00 fee to replace a lost or stolen card. No other form of identification will be accepted for borrowing purposes. Patrons must have a library card with them.
